Two New Aguilas for America
America adds two new reinforcements for the Clausura 2010.
Las Aguilas will try to build on the past season which came to a disappointing end after being knocked out of the Liguilla by the now champions Monterrey. These two new players will come to America on the basis of a 6 month loan.
The press release also offered the players history and some of their attributes:
Miguel Arturo Layun has been in team like Queretaro (2006), Tijuana (2006-2007), Veracruz (2007-2009) and Atlanta of Italy’s Serie A. Most of his coaches clarify him as a right midfielder who could also fill the purpose of a defender. Miguel is the first Mexican to play in the Italian League.
Luis Alonso Sandoval has played in Chivas (2002-2005), Jaguares (2005-2006), Veracruz (2006-2007), Tecos (2008), Monterrey (2009), and Morelia (2009). His talent and abilities have earned him a spot in our institution.
The club stated that the players would take part in training for the InterLiga 2010.
Las Aguilas also announced the release of Andres Chitiva. The Colombian was the second player of America to be dropped after Ricardo Rojas was dropped a few weeks back.
