America's Oscar Rojas Says It All

The drop in form for America has been more than evident. The once high flying team now faces elimination from the Liguilla after suffering a defeat at the hands of Monterrey. Many would blame Jesus Ramirez for the drop since the team seems to have dropped back instead of looking at attacking. Few players would even comment about a problem but Oscar Rojas had no problems doing so.

"We have a great unit and we got even closer with our qualifying to the Liguilla. Perhaps there was some problems with Jesus because they said he did not like to attack and instead threw the team back."

"We've talked about it and the team does not go back. We've had our opportunities to score but we haven't done so. It happens when the other team finds itself behind. That forces them to attack and us to defend. We have cleared things up and I think things are going to be headed in the right direction from now on," Oscar Rojas told Mediotiempo.com.

America will head into Saturdays second leg a goal down against Monterrey. " El Kevin" knows they will have to be offensive minded from the start.

"Our plan is to be offensive. The team might become defensive but not because Jesus tells us or because we don't listen it's just how the game will present itself at that given time," noted Rojas. "We have to go out and look for the game. The team will let it all out there so that we can play a semifinal at home."

Oscar Rojas is conscience that the goal will be a disadvantage but does not discard the idea of a comeback.

"It's a goal that is a disadvantage and that's why we have to take things calmly. We have to be confident because we know the goal could come at any moment and it could be the one that let's us go through. One goal has ended games and it does count a lot. I hope it doesn't weigh us down and that our team can turn things around," said Rojas.
