Jaguares Look To Close Out Season With Home Win
Jaguares hope to finally pick up a victory at home as their season ends Saturday against Atlas.

While four teams do battle for two playoff spots and six others jockey for position, Jaguares de Chiapas are among the destitute.
Jaguares have no shot of Ligiulla and that has been the case for a large portion of the Apertura 2009 season.
Overall, the season has been a bit of a waste for the club but the team made assurances that one more battle remains in them.
"The truth is that we're ashamed for our people," goalkeeper Oscar Perez told Notimex. "We always want more. We tried to get into the playoffs and, well, we weren't able to get there. Now we have to think about closing the season out at home, where things haven't gone our way."
Jaguares are one of two teams who have not won a home game. Their final chance to do so will come on Saturday as Jaguares host Atlas to close out the season.
Not all hope is lost, though. Although the dream of a Liguilla appearance vanished long ago, the club still have a chance of qualifying for a spot in InterLiga. With seven teams not eligible to play in InterLiga, Jaguares could put themselves in position to compete in InterLiga should they manage a win over Atlas.
"We have to consider that," Perez said when asked about InterLiga. "And also to avoid relegation. (InterLiga) is an interesting tournament and it can be a showcase for all of us, more for the young guys, but we need to fight in order to be there."
