Sinking Chivas Sack Arias

Chivas have sacked Raul Arias and will now look for their third manager of the season.

Chivas manager Raul Arias has been dismissed from the head of the team. The move happened on Tuesday morning only a day before Chivas readied to face Indios de Juarez for the midweek league game. The move follows the 3-1 loss to Morelia over the weekend where Chivas failed to capitalize on a 1-0 and extra man advantage for some time in the game.

Arias managed his first game on September 19, 2009, against Jaguares. Raul Arias won the game by 1-0 score line. So far in the Apertura 2009 Chivas have had two managers, Francisco Ramirez and Raul Arias.

Under Arias Chivas won three times, drew once and lost three times under a defensive style of play.

Jose Luis Real, in charge of the Chivas reserves, is rumored to be the interim manager for the remaining three games of the tournament.
