America's Ochoa: I Don't Care For Chivas' Jersey

Guillermo Ochoa said that he wouldn't wear the Chivas Jersey even if it was a gift.

Guillermo Ochoa will no doubt be one of the most emblematic symbols in this season's Clasico. Ochoa has become a poster kid for America and one of the most hated by Chivas fans. Despite growing up in Guadalajara Ochoa never took an interest in the red and white, instead he opted for the red and black of Atlas. Now Ochoa's new love is the yellow and blue the team he will be playing for come Sunday.

"It's a game with a lot of passion and pride that can change the outlook of your season. It's obvious that We all make objectives when the season starts. The objectives are to win the championship and to win the Clasico," said Guillermo Ochoa in a press conference.

The America keeper noted that the game will be worth the hype, for he promises a great spectacle.

"It will be a Clasico that everyone will enjoy and be happy with the spectacle. We will go out with the intention to win on Sunday because that's how the people want it. It is forbidden for us to get anything less than a win. We know of the responsibility and the pressure to win especially against someone like Guadalajara," said Ochoa.

Although the game does offer a heated encounter, Ochoa said it would be fair to congratulate the opponent after the game. That's as far as Ochoa would take it with the Chivas players.

"In the end we are all teammates in profession. I have friends and teammates in Guadalajara but that doesn't mean we wont go all out. We have to go out there and defend our colors," expressed Ochoa. " At the end of the game; however, it's not bad to go and hug your opponent. I wouldn't exchange my jersey though because its something that is close to you. I wouldn't like to have a Chivas jersey anyways."

Even though hatred is the main word between Chivas and America, Ochoa still took some time to lament what happened with the Chivas U-17 team.

"You struggle a lot in the youth leagues. Sometimes we had good buses and sometimes we didn't. Its really sad to see and hear what happened. I just hope that all the injured can make a speedy recovery. This is an eye opener so that teams are forced to implement better drivers and buses to their youth teams," admitted Ochoa.
