Mexicans Abroad: Top Players On Bench
Carlos Salcido may have been on the money with regards to his reasons for wanting to leave PSV - he was not included in the Dutch club's league action this weekend.

After a weekend off due to World Cup qualifying, Mexicans once again returned to their clubs for some league action. However, not all of Mexico's national team players saw action as Carlos Salcido was among those who did not play for their clubs.
Spain
Rafael Marquez (Barcelona) - Marquez watched from the bench as Barcelona drew 0-0 away at the Mestalla against Valencia.
Andres Guardado (Deportivo La Coruña) - Guardado played well and was on the field all 90 minutes as Deportivo won 1-0 against Sevilla.
Hugo Sanchez (Almeria) - A 2-1 win over Malaga gave Sanchez’s team their first win on the road.
Jonathan Dos Santos (Barca Atletic) - Dos Santos played all 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw against Alcoia.
Juan Seguro (Real Union Club de Irun) - Seguro made it onto the field for the second half as his team lost 1-0 against Villarreal B.
Germany
Ricardo Osorio (Stuttgart) - Osorio was not called up for the 1-2 loss against Schalke 04.
Italy
Michael Layun (Atalanta) - Layun watched from the bench as Atalanta won 3-1 against Udinese.
England
Giovani Dos Santos (Tottenham Hotspur) - Dos Santos remains out injured, and did not participate in the 2-1 win over Portsmouth.
Carlos Vela (Arsenal) - Vela didn't feature as Arsenal beat Birmingham 3-1 at home.
Guillermo Franco (West Ham) - Franco debuted with his new team, making it onto the field for the last two minutes of the game. His efforts were not enough to save his team from a 2-1 loss to Stoke City.
Netherlands
Carlos Salcido (PSV) - The defender was not included on the list for the weekend clash against Heerenveen.
Francisco ‘Maza’ Rodriguez (PSV) - ‘Maza’ played all 90 minutes in the 1-0 win over Heerenveen.
Hector Moreno (AZ Alkmaar) - Moreno played all 90 minutes, but couldn’t do much as his team lost 3-2 against Twente Enschede with a last minute goal.
Hungary
Juan ‘Kichi’ Perez (FC Tatabanya) - Perez did not play in the 4-0 win over Budapest Honved.
Finland
Alberto Ramirez (FC Inter Turku) - Ramirez did not participate in the 3-1 win over FC Lahti.
Ukraine
Nery Castillo (Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk) - Castillo did not suit up for the 3-1 win over Metalurg Zaporizhya.
United States
Cuauhtemoc Blanco (Chicago Fire) - Played final 22 minutes in Chicago's 0-0 draw against New England.
Eduardo Lillingston (Chivas USA) - Played final 13 minutes in Chivas' 2-2 draw at San Jose.
Claudio Suarez (Chivas USA) - Did not play in Chivas' 2-2 draw at San Jose.
Mariano Trujillo (Chivas USA) - Did not play in Chivas' 2-2 draw at San Jose.
Luis Angel Landin (Houston) - Started and played 85 minutes in a 0-0 draw against Los Angeles.
