America suffered only their second defeat of the tournament in the last Jornada at the hands of Pachuca. Las Aguilas have not fared well away from home lately but America will be playing at home this time around. Although America has been rolling at home, a tie seems to be in the working for Sunday’s game.

History has always favored in a tie between these two clubs. Out of the 70 games these two have faced off in 30 of them have ended up in ties. The ways things are going for Puebla this season a tie against America is very likely.

Puebla has only lost one game this whole season but has tied seven times. In order for their Liguilla dreams to stay alive they will need to look for more than just a tie against America and their following opponents. A win could be possible for Puebla according to America’s Angel Reyna.

“He’s and important player who helps us out a lot. I think we will feel it because it is Rolfi. I do believe that who ever comes in for him will do a great job in his place, that’s why we are such a competitive group,” said Reyna.

America will be with out the Argentinean playmaker, thanks to a suspension he picked up in the game against Pachuca. Daniel Montenegro has been an intricate part of America’s success this season and with out him Las Aguilas could be flying low.

“We practiced for the game all week long with different players,” admitted Reyna. “I think we are all on the same page. We will also be getting the national tem players back. It seems complicated but there’s enough time.”

Las Aguilas will be forced to do it with out Rolfi but this gives the youngsters a chance to break out and prove themselves to Jesus Ramirez.
