Deportivo La Coruna are reportedly aiming to bring Tottenham Hotspur's Mexican winger Giovani Dos Santos to the Riazor in place of Angel Lafita, according Spanish publication AS.
The current saga surrounding Lafita's switch to Real Zaragoza continues as Deportivo and the player will come before the Mediation, Arbitration and Conciliation Service (SMAC) in La Coruna today. His move to Zaragoza looks likely, however, as the Professional Football League (LFP), have already ruled in favor of the Blanquillos.
In it's ruling, which is still subject to appeal, the LFP gave Depor 30 days to find a replacement for Lafita as his transfer to Zaragoza was completed on the last day of the summer window.
This prompted speculation regarding dos Santos, who Deportivo coach Miguel Lotina declared his interest in earlier in the summer.
However a move for the Mexican forward may not be straight forward after Spurs coach Harry Redknapp was quoted as saying earlier this month that the player had a future at White Hart Lane if he was prepared to "dedicate himself to being a top player."
