Mexicans Abroad: Waiting For Marquez
Rafael Marquez's manager played it safe as El Kaiser was reportedly deemed healthy to play but did not feature in Barca's win over Getafe.
A look at how Mexicans did in respecitve leagues throughout the globe on the weekend.
Spain
Rafael Marquez (Barcelona)- Barcelona won 2-0 against Getafe to take over the top spot of La Liga table, but Marquez wasn’t part of the game as manager Pep Guardiola decided not call him up although Sport had reported that the defender had been cleared by the medical staff.
Andres Guardado (Deportivo La Coruña) - Guardado played all 90 minutes in Depor’s hard fought 1-0 win over Malaga.

His assist for Felipe Luis gave Depor the win and the three points.
Hugo Sanchez (Almeria) - Sanchez's Almeria lost 1-0 against Sporting Gijon, and is currently in 15th place.
Jonathan Dos Santos (Barça Atletic)- The younger Dos Santos participated all 90 minutes against Benidorm CF in the Segunda B. Unfortunately, he was part of the losing side with a score line of 1-3.
Juan Seguro (Real Union Club de Irun/Segunda B) - Seguro played 14 minutes in the Real Union's 1-1 tie with Cartagena.
Germany
Ricardo Osorio (Stuttgart)- The German outfit lost 1-3 against Hamburg in a game where Osorio wasn’t called up.
Netherlands
Carlos Salcido (PSV Eindhoven) - PSV faced off against Roda JC without Carlos Salcido. The first placed team beat Roda JC 3-0.
Francisco ‘Maza’ Rodriguez (PSV Eindhoven) - The scant playing time for Rodriguez continues as he was once again left off the team sheet.
Hector Moreno (AZ Alkmaar) - The reigning Dutch champions lost 2-1 against ADO Den Haag. Moreno did not even make it onto the bench.
England
Giovani Dos Santos (Tottenham) - Once again, Dos Santos was left off the Tottenham’s team sheet for the clash against Manchester United. Spurs lost 3-1 at White Hear Lane.
Carlos Vela (Arsenal) - Vela is recovering from an ankle injury picked up while on duty with Mexico during the summer. He wasn’t called up to participate in the Gunners’ 4-2 loss against Manchester City.
Guillermo Franco (West Ham) - Franco has yet to debut with the Hammers, but his new team fell 1-0 to Wigan.
Italy
Miguel Layun (Atalanta) - Layun has yet to debut in the Serie A and had to watch from the bench as Atalanta lost 1-0 against Sampdoria.
Hungary
Juan “Kichi” Perez (FC Tatabanya)- Perez did not play in the 2-3 loss to Barcsai.
Greece
Antonio De Nigris (Larissa) - Started and played 60 minutes in Larissa's 2-2 draw with Atromitos.
Ukraine
Nery Castillo (Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk) - Castillo was unconsidered for the game against Feniks Illichoveys. Dnipro advanced to the quarter finals of Ukraine’s League Cup.
United States
Cuauhtemoc Blanco (Chicago Fire) - Blanco did not play in Chicago's 1-1 tie at Real Salt Lake as he was not with the team.
Luis Angel Landin (Houston Dynamo) - Started and played 58 minutes in Houston's 2-1 loss at Columbus.
Mariano Trujillo (Chivas USA) - Played final 15 minutes in Chivas USA's 2-0 win over New England.
Eduardo Lillingston (Chivas USA) - Played final 39 minutes in Chivas USA's 2-0 win over New England.

Lillingston drew a late penalty kick which led to a goal.
Claudio Suarez (Chivas USA) - Suarez is on the injured list and has played just 37 minutes this season.
Ecuador
Carlos Moran (Cuenca) - The goalkeeper for the Ecuadorian outfit is recovering from a posterior cruciate ligament and meniscus injury. Moran missed the draw against Barcelona Sporting Club.
Peru
Rodolfo Espinoza (Club Universitario de Deportes) - Espinoza played all 90 minutes in his club’s nil-nil encounter against Bolognesi FC.
Nathanial Revetria (Sport Ancash on loan from River, Uruguay) - Revetria did not feature in Sport Ancash’s 1-0 win over Jose Galvez.
Venezuela
Rodrigo Prieto( Caracas FC) - Prieto entered to play against CD Lara in the 80th minute for his club’s 2-0 win.
Colombia
Mario Garcia (Boyaca Chico FC) - Garcia played all 90 minutes in the 3-1 win over Deportes Quindio and received a yellow card in the 24th.
