Pachuca successfully began one title quest on Friday, and four days later will try to start the same way in a different competition.

Los Tuzos will host Guatemalan side Jalapa on Tuesday in the first game of the teams' CONCACAF Champions League qualifying series. Jalapa will visit Pachuca and will then host the Mexicans on Aug. 4.

"They aren't going to come and play open," Pachuca manager Guillermo Rivarola told Mexican daily El Sol de Hidalgo. "I believe they'll use four in the back, four in the midfield, an attacking midfielder and a striker."

Rodolfo Cota and Javier Muñoz Mustafa will play in place of Miguel Calero and Marco Ivan Perez, Pachuca manager Guillermo Rivarola announced.

"The rest of the team will be the same that started against Tecos on Friday," he said.

Calero allowed two goals but Pachuca still won the match, besting Estudiantes Tecos by 3-2. Goalscorers Juan Carlos Cacho, Damian Alvarez and Christian Gimenez will all start and could carry over their positive offensive momentum into their match against Jalapa.

"I'm very happy with the great effort we received from all of our units," Rivarola said. "I hope it continues that way."

Pachuca reached the tournament on the strength of their Clausura 2009 postseason. Pachuca lost to Pumas last season in the final and consequently clinched a spot in the Champions League. A year ago, Pachuca did not participate in the tournament, as this is the first time los Tuzos have competed under the competition's current format.
