Sudamericana Outburst Lands Chelis A Fine
Puebla manager Jose Luis "Chelis" Sanchez Sola was fined by the FMF for comments he made regarding his club's inability to participate in Copa Sudamericana.
But "Chelis" was not taking it lightly.
“I do not agree with that, I did not insult anyone, I said it to the commission my intention was not to insult, my declaration was taken as if there was a problem. I curse 100 times a day and in those 100 times I do not insult anyone,” explained Chelis to reporters.
Chelis was adamant against giving up a single peso for his words.
“I am not going to pay for anything because Chelis was not kicked out of Copa Sudamericana. That happened to Puebla and I work for that club; if you ask me as a civilian I am not paying anything; of that I am sure. I am not going to work to pay fines that I do not deserve and expression cannot be worth 164,000 pesos,” said Chelis.
The Puebla boss went on to explain that he will not be fined personally but the club will receive the fine from FMF of which he does not plan on paying.
“I will not receive the fine that will be delivered to the club, I am not sure what the club will do but I am not paying because I did not insult and when I spoke with the commission I let them know that,” concluded Chelis.
