Bruno Marioni did not want to leave Atlas but found a new home with Estudiantes Tecos.
“What I was waiting for was fulfilled, which was to solve my problem with Atlas and my objective to continue in this city,” Marioni told reporters after arriving to Estudiantes Tecos training camp.
The Argentine striker, who had been transfer listed against his wishes from the Rojinegros, seems glad to be playing for a Guadalajara-based club.
“I did not have to make any sacrifices, to join Tecos, my idea was always to retire with Atlas; unfortunately for some circumstances that was not possible,” said Marioni who is set to retire and did not want to relocate to another city.
“This will be my last season as a footballer and playing at Tecos gives me the opportunity to continue with my normal life, with my same projects, in that sense I did not have to make any sacrifices, on the contrary I have found an institution that is very serious in their work and that is a plus,” expressed el “Barullo” Marioni.
The Estudiantes Tecos striker has bowed to give his best for the benefit of his new club.
“I take this challenge in the sense that I hope to contribute so that the teams objectives can be reached. I hope to score many goals but I do not expect to be the teams special player. My commitment will be the same as always; deliverance and sacrifice for the benefit of the institution,” concluded Marioni.
