Update: Santos ended 5th in group one and 9th in the overall table. The team seemed to give up early in the season and instead focused on the CONCACAF Champions League, losing to eventual champions Atlante. A series of draws throughout the season dented title hopes and aspirations towards the Liguilla, but the defense came in at 4h best and the offense at 5th.
