San Luis were unable to make a run in Copa Libertadores after pulling out of the tournament, but have a chance to atone internationally against MLS clubs.Clausura 2009 record: 4-8-5. Goals scored: 21. Goals allowed: 27. Leading scorer: Four players tied with three goals apiece. Primera Division titles: None. Last Playoff Appearance: Apertura 2008 (lost to Santos in quarterfinals).
Additions: Octavio Valdez, Marvin de la Cruz, Jorge Bernal, Eduardo Coudet, Alfredo Moreno
Losses: Israel Martinez, Alfredo Gonzalez Tahuilan
Update: San Luis looked to have a bright season after coming off a great Apertura tournament. The Potosinos though had this season turn south as they were only able to win 4 games in the whole tournament. They failed to make the Liguilla and finished 15th out of 18. They however managed to keep their manager for the whole season which is rarity in Mexican Football. They also went with out their star winger, Israel Martinez, who was injured for a good part of the season. San Luis will be looking to get more help since their brother Necaxa were knocked off the top flight and will be hoping to get more reinformnets from them. The SuperLiga will be a stepping stone for San Luis who will look to regain the magic that they had in the Apertura 2008.
