America manager Jesus "Chucho" Ramirez said the club has shown interest in some possible reinforcements but said nothing yet is certain.

With the Apertura 2009 soon starting, all the attention is focused on who will be in and who will be out in Club America. Manager Jesus "Chucho" Ramirez is not disclosing the inner workings of the team, and says that nothing will be certain until the weekend.

Ramirez has been looking at several players, but first must reunite with team president Michel Bauer.

“There’s nothing with anyone. We saw many players. There are various possibilities but today I can tell you that there is nothing certain,” said Ramirez in a press conference. “We haven’t closed anything. I have to meet with the president, and with Jaime and Yon de Luisa to talk about the observations and surely in these days we’ll have something more certain.”

Now, ‘Chucho’ Ramirez is looking at his full arsenal. However, it may soon be depleted as substitute goalkeeper Armando Navarrete is asking to be let go from the squad if he doesn’t see any playing time.

“It’s a special case. He is a good person, a great professional and I understand him perfectly because he could be starting at any other place," Ramirez said. "He has the personality to add to any team because it’s not easy knowing that Memo (Ochoa) is there. Also, I think it’s a legitimate claim. If he comes to an agreement, it’ll be good. Obviously he’s an important piece of the team and whenever he plays he’s done it well. Beyond that he’s a professional, and externally he’s a great trainer and he’s an excellent person.”

America is waiting for the upcoming draft to further stabilize their team, but they want to make the least amount of changes.

“The draft is coming, and the circumstances change a lot. Maybe there are some players that all of a sudden come up and you have to modify plans. The idea is to give continuity(to the team), and to make the least amount of changes as possible.”
