What seemingly few believed could happen, did. Indios went through to the semifinals and on their way knocked off the current champion Toluca after Sunday's 0-0 draw.

For Indios it was a historic win. They have never been in this position before as they write a new chapter to their history.

Indios' incredible feat has attracted the people of Ciudad Juarez who before only had a legitimate baseball team in town. That is why Hector Eugui, manager of Indios, said that the win should be celebrated with the people of Juarez.

“It’s a great feeling, for the players and for the city of Juarez, who deserves it and needs it. We want to make them happy from the field to the stands and return thy will keep us happy,” Eugui said.

Eugui said the game was a difficult one. They either had to score goals or not let Toluca score one goal because if they did the story would be different. Indios however did everything right and held Toluca scoreless to advance.

“The first half was pretty much even between the two. At the end we knew they were going to be on top of everything.  We had to reinforce ourselves and stand strong. Thank God we're in the semifinals and for (owner Francisco) Ibarra's family and the players,” he explained.

Eugui let everyone know why Indios are where they are. He said that they have an open mentality and know that nothing is impossible.

“The discipline the order and the humility of our work is what got us here. We always thought that there are no limits in life,” admitted Eugui. “They have to enjoy each game with their teeth clinched. They need to enjoy it because each day was getting better.”

With the passage behind him Eugui said all he will think of now is likely semifinal opponents Pachuca.

“They are also a team who had a great tournament; they are Superliders and we need to face them. We want to beat them, we have to think big and nothing else. They are a difficult rival but that’s who we have next.”
