Liguilla Preview: Monterrey
Los Rayados de Monterrey had a strong campaign from beginning to... Jornada 15. Despite a two-game skid, Monterrey finished the season at number four overall and will meet Puebla in the quarterfinals.
Update: It was an up and down tournament for Monterrey. They would cap off amazing results against strong teams just to come back and be beaten by a weaker one. Monterrey lost their captain in the 15th Jornada. Jesus Arellano is yet to recover completely and will miss the first leg game against Puebla.
Outlook: The first game against Puebla will be a tough one. Both teams are evenly matched. The return of captain Jesus Arellano for the second leg will provide Monterrey with more attacking power. Humberto Suazo will have to continue with his scoring ways filling the void that Arellano will be leaving in the first leg.
