Hector Reynoso will not be allowed to play in the remainder of the 2009 Copa Libertadores tournament after an incident against Everton on Thursday.

CONMEBOL suspended Guadalajara defender Hector Reynoso for the remainder of the 2009 Copa Libertadores tournament for spitting on Everton's Sebastian Penco.

Reynoso apologized for his actions but it was apparently not enough to save some face.

What likely compounded the incident is the H1N1 flu outbreak in Mexico, which has since led to the suspension of Chivas' game against Sao Paulo in the second round.

Late in their match against Everton, a scuffle broke out. Reynoso immediately went to Everton's Penco. Reynoso spit on him and appeared to try and cough on him as well.
