Pachuca Hot Streak Continues In 3-0 Rout Of Indios
Blas Perez scored twice as Pachuca reaches 17 points in the Clausura 2009 season.
Indios entered the match with just one loss and had beaten Morelia in midweek action. Pachuca’s unbeaten streak, though, continued while Indios' good fortune ran out.
Blas Perez, although, very quiet during the whole game contributed to all three goals. He scored the first, dished out the second and put the finishing touch on the game.
“I am very happy everything is turning into good fortune for me. I am working towards be the scoring leader of the team and on scoring constantly, but without forgetting that the most important thing is that the team wins," Perez said. "First the team and then the individual.”
The Panamanian international said he is extremely happy with the work that his teammates have put in. He added that although he was the one scoring the goals it is a team effort no one individual can do it alone.
Although Pachuca was basking in celebration Indios were very upset by the loss.
“We did not play at all well and it is difficult to play with a rival like Pachuca who handles the ball so well," goalkeeper Cirilo Saucedo said. "We need to analyze or mistakes because we are still at time to fix them.”
As as a rookie team, Indios are fighting to stay in the Primera Division and Saucedo as well as other teammates recognized that these types of results are not helping out their chances.
“We are not doing enough to save ourselves," Saucedo said. "We have to face reality I think that as a group sometimes we forget that. To keep our stay permanent we need to win every Jornada and today we couldn’t.”
Pachuca will put their streak on the line when they visit Chivas on Saturday, while Indios will hope t0 play better when they host Jaguares next Sunday.
