After a long absence due to injury, Chivas defender Jonny Magallon is hopeful of playing in Saturday's league game against Necaxa.
The Mexican international was given the green light by team doctors to return and could play for the first time since October.
Chivas coach Efrain Flores left the door open for Magallon's inclusion on the squad but the player said everything would be left until Friday to make a decision.
"If you see me tomorrow and I'm fine it won't really be necessary to examine me," Magallon said on Wednesday. "But we are going to make a decision on Friday. I feel fine but we'll see what happens in training."
Since undergoing an operation on his right arm, Magallon participated in his first training session on Wednesday. He said he was not quite match fit.
"Everything will be analyzed," he said. "The plan is for me to return fine and not have any setbacks. I feel fine and I'm comfortable that I can do everything at 100 percent. I'm looking at this as a time for observation, if I can call it that, with the intentions of trying to find out if I can play on the weekend."
