Morelia managed to make the final day of InterLiga by improving as the tournament went on. Coach Luis Tena speaks on the team's improvement.

The InterLiga tournament moves into the final day of competition at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, on Sunday.

With Morelia's impressive win over Pachuca on Thursday, which had already qualified for the final, the Monarchs were able to make the third-place match on Sunday and will close the doubleheader with their match against Chivas Guadalajara.

The winners on the final day of competition earn tickets to the Copa Libertadores tournament.

Luis Tena, who has previously coached Cruz Azul, Tecos, Monarcas, Santos, Jaguares, and Club America, is now in charge of Morelia and spoke on the squad's progress. Morelia lost and tied a match before their triumph over Pachuca.
