Toluca: We Are Not Bootlickers
Diablos playmaker, Antonio Naelson, indicated that Toluca is not considered a top team because they don't count with a sufficient fan base or resort to off-the-pitch favors.
'Sinha' lamented that many do not regard the Diablos Rojos in the privileged positions
"I don't know why only four teams are considered big teams (Cruz Azul, Pumas, América and Pumas), because of their followers or infrastructure," Naelson declared.
"Toluca has never been taken into account for anything, possibly because we are not into bootlicking or nothing like that off-the-pitch."
The talented playmaker rejected that his fellow teammates are in any way affected by the fact they are not considered among the national elite.
"We are used to it, now we only think of the final," he added.
"Hopefully one day we will be considered, but we are not going to push for it to happen."
In the first leg of the Torneo Apertura 2008 Final, the Diablos Rojos of Toluca visit Cruz Azul this Thursday at Estadio Azul.
