Atlante manager, José Guadalupe Cruz, indicated that his team has convinced him in the first leg match against Tigres.

"I believe we gave a very serious and complete match, unfortunately we didn't win," Cruz said.

'El Profe' mentioned that they had a bad start but the players performed up to the circumstances of the first quarterfinal encounter.

"If we continue to work the games like we did, we increase our possibilities to advance," he declared.

"The only thing I didn't like were the first ten minutes, but I believe that we were vastly superior to Tigres the rest of the match."

Despite the home field advantage in the return leg, Cruz clarified that the Potros will not fall in an excess of confidence and will propose the encounter.

"We know that they will come in search of the victory, they have no other option, and that may benefit us to take the victory," he added.

"It is clear that we are one step from the semifinals," he said. "We cannot play to preserve the draw, we have to be aggressive and look for the victory, goals give you tranquility."

The Potros finished in a higher position at the end of the regular season which will see them through to the semifinal round if a parity in the aggregate-score persists.
