Chivas: Michel Returns In Three Weeks
Goalkeeper Luis Michel has recovered positively from a fracture and is expected that he will soon be part of first team training.
The Chivas goalkeeper suffered a double fracture to his left arm during a Superliga match in July of this year against Atlante, leaving him out of all action in the Torneo Apertura 2008.
After a three month layoff, Chivas physical trainer Guillermo Hernández indicated that the players rehabilitation has been satisfactory and it is only a matter of working on the physical aspect so he can soon be in optimal conditions.
"Fortunately the latest x-rays revealed that his arm is very strong and that he has not lost muscular mass, he has continued working, so he has not lost much and will soon be ready," explained Guillermo Hernández.
"He will be incorporated in three weeks, because we are going from less to more, perhaps two."
Michel continues to train separate from the first team, supervised at at all times by the Chivas medical staff. Once he receives medical discharge he will work with the goalkeeper coach to recover the physical and slowly lose the fear of diving and landing on his left arm.
