Morelia: Muñoz Sees Positive Campaign

Despite not having obtained desired results at the start of the season, Morelia goalkeeper Moisés Muñoz qualifies as positive their current run in season.

In the first eight weeks of the Torneo Apertura 2008, Morelia could not find the back of the net and found it even harder to earn victories with a mere eight points in as many matches.

Since then the "Monarcas" have managed to get on the scoreboard with two dominant victories against Monterrey by 4-0 and last weekend against Necaxa 3-1.

Morelia goalkeeper, Moisés Muñoz, indicated that the team has seen a significant improvement and they are closer to reaching the level and results that they aimed for at the start of the season.

"Against Necaxa we had another complete game," stated the Morelia goalkeeper.  "Complete because of everything we did and we are happy because the team is doing well, now we are reaping the fruits of our initial objectives."

The 28-year old goalkeeper believes that their positive run of two consecutive victories will give them confidence to face the remainder of the campaign.

"We continue to play the same way we did at the start of the season," he said.  "The difference is that we are now effective (in scoring), probably because we are more concentrated, there is more determination, and we are proving it every match."

Monarcas Morelia currently sits in fourth place of Group Two with 14 points and will visit Santos in the Jornada 11 of the Torneo Apertura 2008.
