"Walter is a young player who fits very well into our style of play," Dallas coach Oscar Pareja said in a news release. "The Paraguayan Primera Division is a very physical and competitive league. He has the experience to be a champion already and we are happy to have a player who is willing to continue his growth with us here in Dallas."
Dallas, which sits fourth in the Western Conference at 9-7-6, lost veteran center back John for the season when he underwent knee surgery last week.
