The central defender will miss the rest of the 2014 campaign after undergoing a successful knee surgery.

FC Dallas central defender George John will miss the rest of the Major League Soccer season after undergoing successful surgery on his right knee.

The 27-year-old, who has spent his entire MLS career with Dallas since being drafted in 2009, had yet to make an appearance for the Hoops in 2014, and he will go onto the season-ending injury list. His last match was in a 1-1 draw against Real Salt Lake on Oct. 5, 2013.

John is the second FCD veteran to have his campaign curtailed in recent days, with Hendry Thomas undergoing surgery to repair his ACL earlier this month.
