After eight straight losses, New England finally picked up a victory with a 3-0 win over the Colorado Rapids.
The Revs had sufferred eight consecutive losses in that space - a team record in the post-shootout era - and would have tied the franchise mark for most-ever with another failure, but Lee Nguyen led the way as the Gillette Stadium outfit made what could be an emphatic statement. The midfield playmaker scored an outstanding free kick in the 75th minute and assisted Kelyn Rowe three minutes later to build on an own goal by Drew Moor in the first half - the veteran defender kicking in a ball shot by Nguyen.
