Toronto FC 1-1 New England Revolution: Revs stumble in playoff race

A draw with Toronto exposes New England to the chasing pack of playoff contenders.
Troronto FC reversed an early New England Revolution lead to draw 1-1 and trip up the Revolution in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

The Revs looked to be cruising when they carved TFC open inside the first two minutes. Kelyn Rowe dribbled past the Toronto defense only to see his shot deflected off Richard Eckersley. When the ball came back to him, he did the unselfish thing, making the square pass across the box to the unmarked Fagundez.

Toronto recovered enough to grab an equalizer shortly before halftime. Eckerseley's long free kick caused chaos in the box with a number of blocked shots and hashed clearances before Andrew Wiedeman found enough space and en ough purchase to turn and finish from seven yards.

The Revs still occupy the final playoff berth in the East, but Houston (one point behind) and Chicago (three poitns behind) are closing in, and each has a pair of games in hand.
