Sporting Kansas City 1-1 Vancouver Whitecaps: Caps steal point in KC

Sporting slipped further behind the East leaders, failing to capitalize on dominance in a one-all draw.
Sporting Kansas City ran much of the game against the Vancouver Whitecaps but could only manage a 1-1 draw.

Aurelien Collin scored in the 35th minute. Oriol Rosell's was knocked down into the box, and after his first shot was blocked by the Vancouver defense, Collin's second shot evaded the white jerseys and settled into the back of the net.

The Whitecaps pulled even just before halftime, when Camilo picked out the top right corner of the net with a well-taken free kick.

Sporting had the better of the going as a whole, as Kei Kamara put two headers over the bar and Graham Zusi hit the post in the second half, but Vancouver held on to earn a point.
