After announcing an initial 22-man training roster on Tuesday, the Canadian Soccer Association announced that San Jose Earthquakes defender Nana Attakora has been added to the mix to fill out the 23-man squad on Friday.
With the competition set to begin on July 7, Canada is set to play Ventura County Fusion SC in a warmup friendly match on July 2 in Oxnard, Calif., where interim head coach Colin Miller is running his team’s pre-tournament training camp.
Canada’s competitive schedule begins with a match against Martinique in Pasadena, Calif., on July 7, but things only get tougher from there, with a July 11 match against Mexico in Seattle before the team wraps up the group stage with a July 14 fixture with Panama in Denver.
The top two teams in each group go on to the next round, as do the two best third-place finishers.
