FC Dallas and the Portland Timbers played out a very entertaining 1-1 draw on Wednesday.
For 65 minutes the defenses and goalkeepers held strong, with a little help from the woodwork, but the first goal finally came in the 70th minute. Darlington Nagbe put the Timbers in front with a nice volley after Rodney Wallace did very well to float a cross to the back post.
FC Dallas pulled back level seven minutes later, with Kenny Cooper netting from the spot after Blas Pérez was fouled in the box by Andrew Jean-Baptiste as the two wrestled for position.
The rest of the match would be a flurry of chances. Will Johnson, Kenny Cooper, Ben Zemanski and Je-Vaughn Watson all had opportunities to snatch a winner and the two sides traded blows, but none of them could find the decisive goal.
