Sporting Kansas City 2-0 Montreal Impact: Canadians drop points for first time in 2013

After four straight wins, the Impact lost its perfect record in Kansas City, with Sporting claiming a 2-0 result.
The Montreal Impact dropped points for the first time this season in a 2-0 loss to Sporting Kansas City.

Kansas City rushed forward early. In the fifth minute, a slide-rule pass from Benny Feilhaber found Claudio Bieler. The Designated Player cut across Matteo Ferrari and tucked his low shot inside the far post for his third goal of the season. The assist marked Feihaber's first this year.

Just a few minutes later, the host had the ball in the back of the net. Graham Zusi floated a free kick over the back line and the ball bounced off the back of Aurelien Collin's head on the way in. The referee, however, decided that Collin had pushed off his marker early and was offside.

Graham Zusi put the game out of reach with 10 minutes to spare. Feilhaber threaded the ball through the the Impact center backs from deep. Zusi's diagonal run picked up the ball and held off Karl Ouimette long enough for the U.S. international to dink the ball over Troy Perkins.
