Colorado's Calderon sidelined 4-5 months with knee injury

The Ecuadorian went down in his side's game against the LA Galaxy, and will be out for the majority of the season.
Colorado defender Diego Calderon underwent surgery on his injured knee, and will miss four to five months while he recovers.

The 26-year-old joined in the offseason from Liga de Quito, and had started every match for the Rapids so far this season. He injured himself colliding with a goalpost after attempting to clear a ball off the line in Colorado's 1-0 loss to the LA Galaxy on Saturday, March 23.

Calderon previously made five appearances for the Ecuador national team.
