Conor Casey, who spent almost all of his MLS career with the Colorado Rapids, becoming the club's all-time leading scorer and leading it to the 2010 MLS Cup title, will be joining one of Califf's former clubs, the Philadelphia Union.
The reigning MLS Cup champion Los Angeles Galaxy despoiled their defeated finalist opponent, trading the club's 2013 Supplemental Draft first-round pick and an international roster slot to Chivas USA for the opportunity to select Houston's Colin Clark.
Supporters Shield winner San Jose drafted the most players, selecting the trio of Dan Gargan, Ty Hardin, and Bryan Jordan.
The New York Red Bulls were not represented at the re-entry draft.
