The Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee handed down a two-game suspension to D.C. United's Andy Najar for his actions in D.C.'s 1-1 draw against New York in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The 19-year-old was booked for a tackle on Joel Lindpere and, in angry protest, threw the ball at referee Jair Marrufo, who ejected Najar. The automatic suspension put him out of D.C.'s 1-0 away win over the Red Bulls to secure a place in the conference finals, but the Disciplinary Committee has extended the suspension a further two matches.
United will travel to Houston on Nov. 11, before hosting the Dynamo at RFK on Nov. 18.
