The young forward will be out for the remainder of the 2012 season.

Sporting Kansas City forward Teal Bunbury has suffered a torn ACL and a damaged LCL in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the 2012 MLS season. He will likely be out a total of 6-8 months.

Bunbury, 22, was injured in the 4th minute of the his team's 1-1 draw with the New York Red Bulls on Aug. 26. Colliding with goalkeeper Bill Gaudette, Bunbury went down awkwardly and injured the knee.

Selected fourth overall in 2010 MLS SuperDraft, Bunbury has five goals so far in 2012, with one assist.
