MLS hands out retroactive punishment to Koffie, Camara and Bernardez

The league has divvied out fines and suspensions to a trio of its players.
The Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee has handed out retroactive punishments to Vancouver Whitecaps defender Gershon Koffie, Montreal Impact defender Hassoun Camara and San Jose Earthquakes defender Victor Bernardez.

Koffie, the Whitecaps' Ghanese defender has been suspended one game for endangering the safety of Seattle Sounders midfielder Andy Rose in the teams match last weekend. He's also being fined an undisclosed amount for directing an inproper gesture at the match official.

The committee also extended the ban of the Impact's Camara an additional match after he was sent off for violent conduct in his side's match with the San Jose Earthquakes. He was also fined an undisclosed amount in addition to the suspension.

Finally, Bernardez of the Earthquakes was suspended one game and fined an undisclosed amount for endangering the safety of Montreal's Lamar Neagle later in the match between the two clubs.
