thumbnail Hello,

The veteran midfielder returns to the club he left at the end of the 2009 season.

The Houston Dynamo have signed free agent midfielder Ricardo Clark, the club announced on Wednesday.

Clark left Houston at the end of the 2009 season for a move to Eintracht Frankfurt in the German second division. The former USA midfielder also spent time on loan at Stabæk in Norway, but was released from his contract by his parent club in July.

“We’re happy to see Ricardo back on our team,” said Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear. “He’s been a great player for us in the past and will be a great player when he returns. In my opinion, he’s one of the better midfielders in the league and the country. Because of that, he is a great addition to the Dynamo.”

Clark was a vital part of the Houston team during his time with the club, helping lead the Dynamo to MLS tittles in 2006 and 2007 and was also a regular member of Bob Bradley's setup for the U.S. national team.

Earlier in the day, Houston announced that Geoff Cameron was headed to Stoke City of the Premier League after the defender was granted his UK visa.
