The LA Galaxy sent striker Chad Barrett to Norwegian club Vålerenga on loan through the end of the season.
Barrett spent a week on trial in Oslo earlier this month and will make the move on Wednesday. He'll remain through November, when the Norwegian Premier League ends.
In his Galaxy career, the 27-year-old scored eight goals and assisted eight times in 45 regular season games. After establishing himself as first choice during the playoff run to the 2011 MLS Cup triumph, he only scored once in 18 appearances this season.
In 2005, Barrett scored the only goal in a World Youth Championship group stage game between the United States and Argentina. The Argentina team featured Pablo Zabaleta, Fernando Gago and Lionel Messi. Barrett has one full U.S. cap.
