Lampard believes Cahill will be successful in MLS and also talks about Chelsea's newest addition Oscar.
"Tim Cahill is a very, very good player," Lampard said after Chelsea's 3-2 defeat to the MLS All-Stars. "I'm sure he will be very successful in MLS because he's a natural footballer and a natural goalscorer from the midfield or an attacking position."
Cahill was in attendance at PPL Park for the All-Star Game. He briefly spoke with Goal.com saying: "Happy to be joining MLS if everything goes through with New York."
It is reported that Cahill has received an offer from the Red Bulls that is for three years at $3.5 million annually. Lampard, who is speculated to be joining MLS next season, believes that Cahill will appreciate playing in the league.
"It's a good move for him and I think he'll enjoy it," he said.
LA Galaxy coach Bruce Arena agreed that Cahill's addition strengthens New York.
"He's an excellent player. I was surprised that he made the move to MLS – if he did, if it's been finalized," Arena said.
"Cahill's been an excellent player for Everton. One would think he would be a great addition to the New York Red Bulls. He's a player still with a lot of good years in him. I'm sure he'll bring a good attitude and a lot of energy and experience to that club."

With one popular attacking midfielder leaving the Premier League in Cahill, Chelsea added potentially another one in signing Oscar for a reported 25 million pounds. Lampard admits that he doesn't know much about the 20-year-old Brazilian but hopes that Oscar can adjust to playing in England quickly.
"Oscar, to be honest, I don't know too much about," Lampard said. "All of the reports that I'm hearing is that he's very good. That he's a fantastic talent.
"Our Brazilian players think he's a great talent. It's a great signing for Chelsea, now and for the future. I hope that he can come and adapt to the English game very fast."
