  • Montreal has confirmed Former AC Milan defender Alessandro Nesta will make his Impact debut and will be in the starting lineup.
  • This matchup will serve as the final preparation for Lyon's Champion’s Trophy match versus Montpelier at Red Bull Arena on July 28.
  • As a second division team, the Impact played in five international friendlies at Stade Saputo, posting a 2-1-2 record. This includes a 1-1 draw with Serie A side Fiorentina in May 2010.
  • Lyon is coming off a disappointing fourth place finish in Ligue 1, which was good enough for a spot in the Europa League.
