Thierry Henry and Rafa Marquez are doubtful for the Red Bulls match against New England on Sunday.
The New York Red Bulls continue to face injury issues as it heads to New England to face the Revolution on Sunday. It is expected that the Red Bulls will be without four of its starters, leaving head coach Hans Backe with major dilemmas.
Thierry Henry, already dealing with knee issues is expected to skip the match as he typically doesn't play on turf fields. New York's other Designated Player, Rafa Marquez, is also unlikely as he is nursing a calf problem. The Mexican international will be a late decision for Backe.
Defenders Heath Pearce and Markus Holgersson are also doubtful with both having various ailments.
While the team is battling with missing personnel, some players could benefit from seeing playing time. Center back William Conde, who was originally brought in to replace Tim Ream at the start of the season, hasn't had too many opportunities to start. With several defensive players out, Conde could play a vital role and perhaps to fight for a spot in the starting eleven.
Backe will likely have 14 players fully available.
