thumbnail Hello,

The Mexican international finds himself in hot water once more.

The Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee has decided to suspend New York Red Bulls midfielder Rafael Marquez for three matches following an incident in his side's 2-2 draw with the San Jose Earthquakes.

Marquez, 33, tackled, fell on and proceeded to kick out at Earthquakes midfielder Shea Salinas, a transgression that saw Salinas break his clavicle, ruling him out for six-eight weeks. Marquez's suspension will begin this weekend when the Red Bulls take on rival D.C. United and will run through matches against the New England Revolution and LA Galaxy.

The Committee also decided to suspend Eartquakes midfielder Marvin Chavez for an incident later in the match. The Honduran's suspension is for only one match - the Earthquakes tilt with RSL this Saturday.
