The New York Red Bulls would love to have Luke Rodgers back in red and white for the 2012 season. According to General Manager Erik Soler, negotiations are in the works to ensure the his visa is renewed.
"We hope to have a positive meeting in London at the beginning of March, and from there start the process of getting his visa so he'll come back to us as soon as possible," said Soler in a conference call with the media.
After bringing Rodgers back, Soler suggested that his club also wants to add another designated player to its ranks sometime during the summer transfer window.
"We want to bring in another DP surely when the summer transfer window opens, so as to have more options," he added. "We know we have interesting cap space in our budget, but we're calm. We'll sign who we believe is convenient to the team."
