Colorado announces signing of Argentinian forward Martin Rivero
Rapids add a new playmaker to its roster.

The Colorado Rapids have announced the signing of Argentinian playmaker Martin Rivero on loan from Rosario Central. Per club and league policy terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Martín is a young, dynamic player with a great deal of potential,” said Colorado Rapids Head Coach Oscar Pareja. “His creativity and technical ability will give us more options in attack, and we’re excited to welcome him to the club.”
Rivero, 22, had his most successful season with Rosario Central in 2010-11 where he made 30 appearances scoring four goals. This season he began to establish himself in the team once more before deciding to join Colorado.
The Rapids open their season on March 10 when they'll welcome the Columbus Crew to Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
