MLS announces nationally broadcast matches for First Kick 2012

Four nationally televised matches will highlight the league's opening weekend.

Major League Soccer has announced the four matches that will highlight First Kick 2012 on national television.

On March 10, the Vancouver Whitecaps will welcome Canadian rival Montreal Impact to BC Place at 6 p.m ET. The match will be broadcast on TSN.

The following day, FC Dallas will entertain the New York Red Bulls at Pizza Hut Park and will air on NBC Sports Network at 3 p.m. ET. Later that evening, 2011 MLS Cup runners-up Houston Dynamo will travel to the Home Depot Center to take on Chivas USA at 7 p.m. ET. That match will air on Galavision.

The last match of the First Kick weekend will take place at Jeld-Wen Field in Portland as the Timbers host the Philadelphia Union at 9:30 p.m. ET. That match will be on ESPN2.
