Toronto FC has acquired Jeremy Hall from FC Dallas in exchange for TFC’s second-round pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft.

Hall, 23, was traded to Portland from New York in November 2010. FC Dallas picked up the defender/midfielder in August, and Hall has now joined his fourth MLS team in one year.

“We’re happy to add Jeremy Hall to our club. He is a solid defender with excellent MLS experience,” said Toronto FC head coach and technical director, Aron Winter. “Defense is one of the areas that we want to address this offseason and acquiring Jeremy is a positive step forward for our club.”

Hall has played both outside back and outside midfield in a three-year MLS career. He was originally drafted in 2009 out of the University of Maryland by the Red Bulls, and made 37 appearances for New York over two seasons before being traded to Portland.
