  • United's loss to the Philadelphia Union on Thursday allowed Philly to leapfrog Columbus in the standings. The Crew now sit at fourth in the Eastern Conference.

  • D.C. is in sixth in the East, 11th overall, one point off a playoff spot. However, the capital club has two games in hand over most teams.
  • Dwayne De Rosario leads the league with 14 goals. The Canadian also has 11 assists. Charlie Davies has scored 11 goals this year.
  • D.C. will lose De Rosario to an international callup after this match, as well as Bill Hamid (USA). Crew midfielder Emmanuel Ekpo (Nigeria) and defender Julius James (Trinidad & Tobago) earned international calls as well.
  • This is Columbus' final home game of the regular season.
