Former Fire defender joins Jason Kreis at RSL.Real Salt Lake have announced the appointment of former Chicago Fire defender C.J. Brown to their backroom staff as an assistant coach.
Brown joins former MLS stalwart Jason Kreis on the RSL bench. Both players during their MLS careers played over 250 times for their respective clubs.
Retiring at the end of the 2010 season, Brown, 35, played his entire MLS career with the Chicago Fire making 287 appearances from 1998 to 2010. He jumps right into coaching after calling time on his illustrious career.
One of the most consistent center backs the league has ever seen, Brown also made 15 appearances for the U.S. Men's National Team.
